It’s Actually Called “Oysters Dunbar” and came from an old New Orleans restaurant, Corinne Dunbar.
It’s so good that you’ll want to slap everybody in your family including Yo Mama.
1 stick butter
1 bunch green onions (chopped fine)
2 jars marinated artichoke hearts (the squatty little jar)
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
4 dozen raw oysters (drained)
1 dash of Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
Garlic to Taste ( Be liberal. I used 4 cloves minced )
Italian flavored bread crumbs
Saute’ the green onions in the butter. Add the garlic, artichoke hearts and soup then cook for 15 minutes.
Add the oysters and cook 15 minutes more. Turn off the fire and remove from the heat. Add the Worcestershire sauce and poultry seasoning. Add enough Italian bread crumbs to thicken the mixture.
Transfer the mixture to a greased, ovenproof dish. Sprinkle the top with Italian breadcrumbs and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until browned. This is an incredibly rich dish and it will go a long way.
ENJOY!
Laissez les bons temps rouler
